MIRKWOOD SHAWL
Knit from the top center out, this shallow crescent drapes beautifully shawl in A Hundred Ravens Yaksha. The beaded body and edge give the shawl a pleasing weight. The pattern includes two options for beading the edging.
MORMONT WRAP
Fissure was inspired by a great wall of rock where the road had been cut through the mountain. It had been raining, bringing out all the amazing colors of the different strata. The varying textures and colors of this shawl and the Yaksha yarn are my tribute to that small, random moment in traffic, finding wonder in something we often drive past without seeing.
WATERCOLOR POPS
The shawl’s generous crescent shape really lends itself to not only staying firmly in place on the shoulders, but also to being worn cowl-like, beautifully. Inspired by the subtle color shifts on Llyr, it has an imaginative watery theme. The lace insets like drops and the stripes playing up an almost dappled sunlight effect.
TINUVIEL SHAWLETTE
This sweet crescent shaped shawl with a diamond patterned body is worked in garter and stocking stitch, with a deep lace border. Worked in Llyr, it is a delicate but warm layering piece perfect for early spring or late autumn wanderings.
VERMONT MAPLE SHAWL
This pattern is inspired by the foliage in Vermont, particularly the beautiful, changing colors of maple leaves. Each year, tens of thousands of “leaf peepers” travel to northern New England to marvel at the Fall foliage. This shawl features a vertical row of maple leaf motifs – perfect for keeping away the Autumn chill!
STRANDWANDERER
Strandwanderer (German for: a person who walks along the beach) is a bias-shaped shawl in garter stitch, that wraps up well. Plain in shape, the shawl develops its individual character with the help of a high-contrast, muliti-coloured yarn. Because of its rectilinearity it is eminently suitable for men.
MORMONT WRAP
This design was inspired by the mini set, The Resolute Lady of Bear Island, named for our favorite Game of Thrones character. Like her, mini skeins are small but mighty! Minis allow the knitter to control color changes. This design makes full use of this ability to create a pattern that evokes stained glass.
