The Southern Cross is a constellation located in the southern sky in a bright portion of the Milky Way. It is among the most easily distinguished constellations, and is frequently used for navigation. A technique used when you have no instruments is to clench one’s right fist and to view the cross, aligning the first knuckle with the axis of the cross. The tip of the thumb will indicate south.

A luxurious 55/45 blend of certified British Bluefaced Leicester (BFL) and silk, this superwash fingering weight is incredibly soft and a dream to work with. It is light and drapey with a soft hand but still provides excellent stitch detail. The wool and silk take dye beautifully, so the yarn shades come out bright and deep, with a lustrous sheen.
