“The top of Anaea Tyrianthina wings are marked with bands of black, washed with lustrous purples and blue. The undersides of their wings are dull and bear a strong resemblance to the dead leaves or tree bark on which they settle. They are found in the rainforests of Peru and Bolivia at elevations of 600 – 2,400 feet.”

A luxurious 55/45 blend of certified British Bluefaced Leicester (BFL) and silk, this superwash fingering weight is incredibly soft and a dream to work with. It is light and drapey with a soft hand but still provides excellent stitch detail. The wool and silk take dye beautifully, so the yarn shades come out bright and deep, with a lustrous sheen.
