“Love catches fire, it trespasses, it breaks, we break, it comes back to life… we come back to life. Love may not be eternal but, it can make us eternal.”
― Jul’ Maroh, Le bleu est une couleur chaude
“Blue is the Warmest Color” is a graphic novel written by Jul’ Maroh. It is a beautiful and tragic and compelling coming out love story that meant so much to me when I first read it. It was also adapted into a film that won the Palme d’Or at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival, but has since been steeped in controversies about the production of the film and the treatment of the actresses who play the main characters.
In honor of Adele Exarchopoulos and Léa Seydoux and Jul’ Maroh we offer this limited edition colorway as expression of young, passionate, dark, and ecstatic love, and all that goes with it.
